• Upload or transmit content that is defamatory, obscene, infringing, or that violates the rights of others.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems or networks.
• Use automated means (e.g. scrapers, bots) to access the Service without our prior written permission.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or its output in a manner that competes with us or exceeds normal personal use.

We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms.

4. Intellectual Property and Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit (e.g. resume text, cover letter inputs). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, store, process, and display that content solely to provide and improve the Service. We do not claim ownership of your resume or cover letter content.

The Service, including its design, features, code, and branding (e.g. “MakeMyCV”), is owned by One710 Softworks Private Limited or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service or use our trademarks without our written consent.

5. Subscription and Payment

Certain features (e.g. PDF download, cover letter generation) may require a paid subscription. Fees are displayed on the Service and are in Indian Rupees (INR). Payments are processed by Razorpay. By subscribing, you agree to pay all applicable fees and authorise us (or our payment processor) to charge your chosen payment method. Subscription terms (e.g. one-time or recurring) will be shown at the time of purchase. Our Refund Policy applies to eligible purchases.

6. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or for other operational or legal reasons. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g. intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will survive termination.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Use of the Service and any reliance on generated content (e.g. cover letters) is at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law in India, One710 Softworks Private Limited and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or one hundred Indian Rupees (₹100), whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in such cases, the above limitations may not fully apply to you.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless One710 Softworks Private Limited and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your content, or your breach of these Terms.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India. You agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally with us before initiating any legal proceeding.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we may notify you by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
